Gifts for Women
It’s true that every woman needs her friends – and at some points in her life she may need them more than others. So when it’s a reason to celebrate, like a birthday, nothing can beat going out, having a chat and a giggle over a glass of wine with your pals. But now that the credit crunch has well and truly kicked in, ladies are looking for other ways to get together when celebrating an occasion, that still guarantees having a great time.
Due to tighter budgets, buying great birthday gifts for women can be a stretch without having to think about funding a night out as well. So why go out? Why not have a ‘pamper party’ for the birthday girl? Take a bottle of plonk round and spoil her rotten with all manner of beauty treatments. Do her nails, her hair – hey, even slap the Abba CD on and dance round the room singing into the hairbrush................
Sometimes, the best gifts for women are the ones for no reason at all. Any woman would love a spa pack to spoil herself with, chocolates to savour when she’s got two minutes to herself (we women don’t share everything) or perhaps something that can carry a message, like a personalised necklace or photo frame. One of the best presents I got my mum were a few stylish photo frames with pictures of her grandchildren already inside. They now have pride of place on her cabinet, along with stylish framed pictures of her other eight grandchildren (she had to get a bigger cabinet in the end!).....................
