Ladies and Gents, Christmas is fast approaching and so it's probably a good time to start thinking about your Christmas Shopping. MyRedPacket offers you a great selection of amazing Xmas presents and stocking fillers. Why not bookmark gifts you have seen so you can go back to it at a later date. Are you ready to go Christmas Shopping with MyRedPacket?
It may be hard to think of shopping for Christmas gifts when we're only in November. But, how many times have you gone looking for this year’s most popular Xmas gift and found it was sold out weeks ago?
In the current economic climate, it also makes sense to budget. Now that the summer holidays have been and gone, (and also been paid for) it is the perfect time to start buying a few Christmas presents to avoid a huge payout in December. As the scouts would say – be prepared!
A personalised or engraved gift makes a lovely present for Christmas – or indeed, any time – and these items can take a little longer to produce. We have also had a few postal strikes this year, and although these two issues would not delay an item too much, it does make sense to consider them a factor when planning your Christmas shopping list.
My Red Packet has Christmas covered. Our preparations start so far in advance that it does not bear thinking about! To ensure you have a great range of gifts of Christmas gifts to choose from, we never have the Xmas season too far from our mind.
Xmas gifts don’t necessarily have to be expensive to be an instant hit. Christmas is a time for family and rather than just buying the ‘hot toy’ of the season for the kids, why not give them the magic Xmas tree? Add the magic formula to the sparse tree skeleton and watch the tree grow before their eyes. It even comes with decorations that the children can add themselves and will give them more enjoyment than something that may get tossed in the corner after five minutes.
If the choice of Christmas presents is overwhelming, My Red Packet also provides a range of ready-filled Xmas stockings for your loved ones which is one less weight from your shoulders! Filled with age and gender appropriate goodies, we even do them for the adults, (we know, we’ve thought of everything!).
Christmas time as depicted on numerous greetings cards show the perfect wintry scene covered in snow; magical for children, but not available to order from the skies above. It is, however, available from MyRedPacket. Just add water to the magic can and snow appears. The kids will have hours and hours of fun with no batteries in sight!
These are just some of the great Christmas presents and seasonal gifts that My Red Packet have to offer. There’s a lot of sense in getting a head start and when your friends are getting crushed in the throng of shoppers in December, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of mulled wine – safe in the knowledge you’ve got Christmas sorted!

The True Meaning of Christmas
Why does Christmas give us such a warm, fuzzy feeling? From the first time you hear Slade’s “I wish it could be Christmas every day” on the radio, until Big Ben has rung in the New Year, we all take the moral deliberation to be kind unto others. Shop assistants are (mostly) more cheerful, everyone you meet wishes you a Merry Christmas and your postman becomes your Best New Friend - why can’t we take this euphoric attitude to our heart for the rest of the year?
They say that Christmas is all about the kids – which for the majority, is true. Santa is conjured up before their very eyes to keep them on the straight and narrow from September onwards. Mums and Dads do enough Christmas gift shopping to last the whole year; enough to not want to see a shop again – until the January sales, that is…..
Kids remind us jaded adults that there is still magic to be had if you look for it hard enough. Soppy seasonal films on the telly, the warmth of roaring fires and mulled wine give us such a glowing, sentimental sensation that it stirs us to pass good tidings to friends and family that we haven’t had the time to see for the rest of the year. It is also the time of year we ritually send our family news with the mountain of Christmas cards we post out. It seems a lame excuse to acknowledge that a whole 12 months has passed in which we could have visited, phoned, texted or emailed.
Of course, in hindsight, it is easy to say ‘could have, would have, should have’, and I am as guilty as the next person for not making enough time for family and friends. Technology has moved on so much that it really doesn’t take a moment to drop a message or text to someone whenever they pop into your mind – if only to say ‘hi!’.
Christmas gifts are swapped with great excitement between children and adults alike. My Christmas list keeps getting longer and longer as more family members have families of their own. This in itself is not the problem, it’s finding what to buy each and every name on my list. Each year I’ll ask my Mum what she wants and her reply every year is ‘Oh, I don’t know – surprise me!’ I mean, don’t make it easy for me, will you, Ma?
And coming up with something different each year is a challenge too. I know my Dad likes chocolate brazils but he’s stopped even trying be shocked when he peels the wrapping off to yet another box. I promise each year that I will get both of them what they’ve always wanted. But if they don’t know what that is, how can I be expected to know either?!!
Now that shopping has been revolutionised due to the World Wide Web, we have more access to more ideas and products than ever before. With so much to choose from though, I find that it actually takes me longer to do my shopping than it would from the one-stop store. But choice is a good thing and should ensure that you never buy the same thing two years running or something that is inappropriate for the recipient.
Pampering gifts are great for any female come Christmas time. The majority have spent the run-up to the big day frantically dashing around to make sure everything has been bought, wrapped and delivered before Santa gets aboard his sleigh. They need spa gifts, scented candles, personalised jewellery to make them feel valued – anything that shows them they’re special. Dads will crave Christmas gifts that keep them occupied for the holidays, so puzzles, gadgets, games – anything to keep them busy, off the sofa and away from the telly.
Kids may be screaming for the latest must-have toy, but once they have had a run through of its functions, it becomes just another bit of clutter in their bedroom. Christmas gifts that fascinate them, keep their interest – like science projects, design kits, challenging games - may last a little longer (at least until their birthdays come around).
Xmas gifts for the elderly; they will relish photo albums (especially ones already filled with snapshots of great times). Something they will enjoy even more is if you schedule an afternoon to look through them and reminisce together once Christmas has disappeared, over a cup of tea and a cake. This is the sort of experience you can’t pick up off the shelf but lasts a good deal longer.
Babies may not have a clue what is going on and will just be happy at all the attention they are getting, with all and sundry cooing over their pram. A mobile or rattle of some kind is educational, functional and a welcome help for those moments when Mum nips to make a coffee or the phone rings.
The perfect christmas gift is out there for everyone and the moral of the story is primitive in that it is better to give than receive. And when Christmas has been packed away in the loft until the following December, just remember that it is just as important at any time of the year to let people know you are thinking of them.
