You simply leave the jar either outside, on the window-sill or under some decent artificial light. The Sun Jar and Moon Jar collects energy from the sun or light throughout the day via the in-built solar cell. When it turns dark, the jar gives a warm ambient and relaxing glow. It gives a few good hours of light on one charge, which should be ample time for those after BBQ conversations on the porch or garden (yes, it’s water-proof too!). I love this sun jar. I leave it out in the garden all day, and at night it really does glow orange. What i have found is the more sun light it gets the brighter it glows. It's beautiful. It also makes a wonderful night light for kids. Thanks for the super quick delivery as well and the beautiful red packet i received. I had no idea until now that these red packets even existed, and what a wonderful true meaning behind it.
